How to Set Permissions for your Trusted Circle™ Members

In this article we explain step by step how to set permissions for your circle members.

At this time, the three permissions you can assign to a user are Daily Living, Medical, and Financial. These permissions are specifically for notes, lists, and the Family Vault.

Only the Circle owner can assign and edit permissions.

Setting content type permissions when inviting a new member:

When you are inviting a member to your Trusted Circle:

  1. You will first enter their name and email.

  2. Then, you can choose to check Daily Living, Medical, and/or Financial. You can assign none and all to an individual Circle member.

Editing content type permissions for current Circle members:

On the web browser:

  1. Click Members on the left navigation menu.

  2. Click on the three dots (...) of the box of the person you want to edit.

  3. Click View Profile.

  4. Make changes to Permissions by toggling the white square. A gray background means the person does not have permission to view the content type.

  5. Click the X in the upper right-hand corner of the pop-up to close the window.

On the mobile app:

  1. Tap the Circle name.

  2. Tap the three dots (...) of the box of the person you want to edit.

  3. Tap View Profile.

  4. Make changes to Permissions by toggling the white square. A gray background means the person does not have permission to view the content type.

  5. Tap the left arrow at the upper left-hand corner to exit out of the profile.

What do the permissions mean?

Daily Living

This allows members to see updates about things like general caregiving, family events, meal planning, and more.

Medical

This allows members to see updates about doctor’s visits, medications, and key medical documents.

Financial

This allows members to see legal financial documents, bank statements, or fraud alerts.
